dark eyes
beautiful
sunken spaces
these features
arouse something else
confidence
an upturned sneer
those unaccustomed turn away
he notches up
ratchets up
the fire
and he burns
he is fragile
easily snuffed
he might singe you
he exhausts himself
you like it
a little cup of danger in you despair
lost in the cavalier
and disintegrating
let's go down to the ocean
bury things in the sand
so they can wash away
after we leave
tangled up in seaweed
like my hair around your finger
you pull it
you pull it
can't we try it
I wont draw blood
I'll listen to you
If we are broken
there are so many things
strewn around these streets
somethings old
somethings new
I'm suspecting an earthquake
there is something in store for us
soon it will come
and we'll fall out of our beds
drunk and sober
maybe there is nothing special about either of us
certain hours of certain days
I catch time being innocent
indecent
we should be ashamed
wont get that back
these sheets smell like drier sheets
no more you
wont get that back
tired of this kind of room
let's fill it to distraction
jeopardy and a game of cards
the devil to raise the stakes
seeing hearts beating in their chests
the upper region scares me
traps and triggers
can't turn your head until it's too late
gone and done
and you're left here
raging against the lose of love
